While January and February can leave us feeling in a little bit of a style rut, we always long for spring/summer dressing. You may have some ideas of what you want to be wearing this spring and summer after seeing the street style from Fashion Week but let us give you the low down on the biggest trends for SS20 so you can stay ahead of the style game...
From the cutest of two pieces to cord trousers, SS20s key colour palette is 'blue'. Think light and airy blues to deeper and darker blues, all with the aim of creating a happy, colourful wardrobe for spring/summer.
Spring/summer is no longer just about florals; make way for the print of the season 'polka dots'. This timeless print can be worn for work or for nights out and makes for an easy way to incorporate print into your wardrobe.
From oversized fits to statement collars, shirting this year has gone from 50 to 100. Worn open over polo neck jumpers, buttoned up and tucked into peg leg trousers or worn loosely over dresses, a shirt is one of the most versatile pieces you can own.
Tiered pieces are the new thing for SS20 with designs that promise volume, drama and that much needed twirl ability (recommended when on the dance floor.) Whether you are opting for a stand out dress for a wedding or a statement skirt to pair with a tee and trainers, this trend won't let you down.
Tank tops are a strong staple for SS20 and boy are we happy about that because we can't resist a good tank top. They make for the perfect piece to pair with virtually anything from denim jeans (and shorts) to floaty skirts, or even worn under a shirt for a layered look.
This trend is a personal favourite of ours and that's not just because it's a super easy colour palette to style but also because of how elegant we feel when wearing earthy tones. From 70s style jumpsuits to the coolest of western suede boots, we want all the earthy tones in our wardrobe for SS20.
